Understanding your Ambetter costs
Ambetter plans come in different metal tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold), and each tier handles costs differently:
- Bronze plans usually have lower monthly premiums but higher deductibles, so you may pay more per visit until your deductible is met.
- Silver and Gold plans usually have higher premiums but lower out-of-pocket costs per visit.
- HSA-eligible plans: If your Ambetter plan is HSA-eligible, you can usually use your HSA card for visit costs.
When you call Ambetter, ask:
- Is Francis Agbotse, PMHNP in-network for my plan?
- What do I pay for an outpatient mental health visit, and does it count toward my deductible?
- Are telehealth visits covered the same as in-person visits?
- Do I need a referral or prior authorization?
